Korean compound Verb (Noun +해요)


연습해요(practise) = 연습 해요(do practise)


an example: I practice taekwondo.

Correct Sentence: 태권도 연습 해요. (not common though)

Correct Sentence: 태권도 연습 해요. (This is best.)

Incorrect Sentence: 태권도 연습 해요. (You cannot use 를/을 twice)


Many of the Noun+하다 compound verbs are used as a single verb by attaching 해요 without 을/를(object particle)If 을/를 is inserted between the noun and 해요, the noun is the object of the verb 해요(do). Please note that a verb takes only one direct object. You should not use 을/를 more than one in one sentence.


an example: I drive a car.

Correct Sentence: 한국어 공부 해요. (not common though)

Correct Sentence: 한국어 공부 해요. (This is best.)

Incorrect Sentence: 한국어 공부 해요.(You cannot use 를 twice)
